Direct Insurance Billing
Discount Auto Glass of Bakersfield offers direct billing to insurance companies for eligible auto glass repairs and replacements. Instead of submitting the entire claim yourself, you can have the shop coordinate billing with your insurer.
How Direct Insurance Billing Works
- Contact your insurance company or review your policy to confirm that the auto glass service is covered.
- Provide the repair shop with your insurance carrier, policy information, vehicle details and claim number, if one has already been issued.
- The shop can communicate with the insurer and submit the covered repair or replacement charges directly.
- You remain responsible for any deductible, excluded work or amount not paid by the insurer.
Before Scheduling Service
Insurance coverage varies by policy. Confirm whether your plan covers windshield repair, windshield replacement or other vehicle glass, and ask whether a deductible applies. Your insurer can also explain any claim authorization or documentation requirements.
When requesting service, have the vehicle’s year, make, model and body style available, along with the location and type of damaged glass. This information helps identify the appropriate repair or replacement.
Eligible Auto Glass Services
Direct billing may be available for covered auto glass work on domestic and foreign automobiles, trucks, semi-trucks and fleet vehicles. Coverage and claim approval are determined by the insurance provider and the terms of the policy.
